At Lee’s Welding Service, we don’t just build structures—we build opportunities. After 30 years in the construction industry, Thomas founded our business with a clear goal: to bring reliable welding and fabrication services to South Boston, VA, while helping his family and training young people in the community. His story is one of hard-earned skill, ambition, and the drive to create something of his own—and to help others do the same.

We officially opened our doors in February 2016. Since then, we’ve grown into a close-knit team of 7 to 10 professionals, including certified welders and certified welding inspectors. We handle everything from stairway and handrail fabrication to equipment repair, industrial shutdowns, steel erection, and on-site welding inspections.

Most importantly, we show up when others can’t. In an area with only a couple of fully booked welding shops, our presence fills a major gap. People are searching—we make sure they can find us.

What sets us apart is our hands-on approach. We’re mobile. We’re responsive. And we’re known for taking on the kind of specialized work others tend to pass up. From commercial warehouse repairs to shutdown work at paper mills, we don’t shy away from complex jobs. Instead, we lean in, solve problems, and deliver with precision.
